About Us
Revival – Wiltshire RASAC offers free, confidential therapeutic support services for people of all genders, aged 16+, who have been raped, sexually abused or sexually exploited. It doesn’t matter when or where. No one should suffer in silence. We are here to help survivors make sense of what’s happened to them and begin to make life changing choices for themselves.
We are an independent charity working in Swindon and Wiltshire, providing trauma informed, confidential services, sensitive to the needs of the individual. We know that your healing journey is as unique as you are. All of our services respect this by placing your own self-discovery and empowerment first throughout your path of recovery.
All staff receive specialist training to work with the impact of trauma stemming from sexual violence, abuse and exploitation, as well as specific training to work with our male survivors, our neurodivergent survivors and our LGBT+ survivors. Everyone here also has a current DBS certificate, relevant to their role.
We are a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), meaning our counselling service is delivered in accordance with the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Our qualified counsellors are all Registered Members of BACP or an equivalent body as a minimum standard. We also welcome student counsellors on volunteering placements.
As a Member of The Survivors Trust, we work within their National Service Standards for Delivering Services Supporting Victims/Survivors of Sexual Violence and/or Childhood Sexual Abuse – Accreditation pending. The Survivors Trust has over 120 member organisations throughout the UK and Ireland who provide specialist support services to over 100,000 survivors each year. This gives us an excellent opportunity to network with peers and keep abreast of current practice.
We recognise that not everyone wants to report what happened to them to the police. Using our services is not dependent on that but if you do want to know more about it, we can help you to access the services that can support you through that process.
